Maxis Music Zone

The Maxis Music Portal was indeed ahead of its time. When it was officially launched several years ago, the world wide web wasn't as dynamic as it is today. The portal offered several unique features which included a mood setting and smart function.

The mood setting offered users contents, music themed ones in particular, that suited whatever their mood  was while the smart function made recommendations that was relevant to the user's regular picks.

Maxis - 012=017

Maxis is one of Malaysia's largest telcos and is interestingly considered by many to be a prestigious brand. Having a 012 prefix was a status symbol.

The 017 prefix became Maxis' alternative offering when it acquired a competitive telco. Though it offered all the same value, benefits and services, 017 was perceived to be inferior.

This simple commercial addressed the issue and, believe it or not, made a difference!
